Our Approach
Learning that connects.
Innovatoire brings creative practices together through practical, collaborative activity — supporting young people to experiment and discover what they can make with others.

The learning method
A practice grows through making.
Interdisciplinary learning starts with something concrete. Young people develop a creative practice, explore other skills as the project needs them, and make work with other people.
Music, design, technology, storytelling and performance describe possible areas of practice. They are not a list of courses.

City That Shape Us
In this summer programme, studio work, songwriting, instrument practice and performance formed one connected creative process. Participants explored sound and ideas, shaped original material, developed their playing and shared work live.

A polymath institute for the creative industries.
Our longer-term ambition is a place where people develop depth in a creative practice while exploring other skills through making. Today, our work centres on programmes for young people.
How we work
- 01
Make it real
Learning happens through doing — writing, playing, building and performing, not only discussing.
- 02
Connect practices
Creative disciplines inform one another. We encourage young people to work across them.
- 03
Create together
Collaboration and human connection sit at the centre of how ideas develop.
- 04
Leave room to experiment
Trying, testing and changing direction are treated as part of the process.
